Denial No More

It was 60 degrees again yesterday.  I love it but it is hard to think Christmas when I am running in shorts still.  Try as I may to deny that Christmas is coming, that attitude is only going to land me in one heap of a pickle.  So, last night I hardened my resolve to begin to celebrate and plan and shop and decorate for Christmas.

What does that mean?  First and foremost, holiday music!  My car radio is glued to the all Christmas music station now and I have a few new albums (just like Debbi) to add to my playlist.

A little Michael Buble

and Orla Fallon

and some Trans-siberian Orchestra

and something for the kids, Taylor Swift.

I will take the mild temperatures and rely on the mood enhancing music to bring me the Christmas Spirit.

Off to tackle the major to-do list…

and as a reward, I get to work on my Polar Chullo Hat which is coming along nicely (2 earflaps done and a liner so far.) I chose the Midnight Blue as you can see.

What are you up to?

  1. Gorgeous hat! I think that blue was the right choice. It has the perfect intensity and contrast.

So let me know if you find that Christmas spirit. I was planning to drag out my Christmas decorations today too, but it’s 52 degrees and raining this morning and all I want to do barricade myself in the house, watch old movies and knit. At least I’d be knitting Christmas gifts though, so maybe it would count?

  2. OK – I must be a true Scrooge – I’m frustrated that all my normal car radio stations are playing Christmas music and have no interest whatsoever in shopping or getting ready – zero.
    Pretty earflap 🙂

  3. Listening to Michael Buble too!
And freaking out that Amazon’s quoting me 24th Dec delivery dates already!!! Seems Christmas shopping must be done in November these days.
    Bah humbug }:0)

  4. My daughters love the Taylor Swift x-mas CD followed closely by last year’s Glee x-mas CD. And the only reason Justin Bieber holiday CD is not on their list yet is ‘cuz I’m not letting the open it ’til x-mas. I have to have some respite! ; )

My fav is Josh Groban’s, but I’m kinda a Grobanite. Also Hapa has a good one.
